Requests for a tax certificate, duplicate copies of a tax bill and other tax information may be subject to certain user fees. For details see the Administration User Fee Page.

The Treasury Department is responsible for the development and implementation of financial control for all operations within the Township of Rideau Lakes in accordance with the form required by law and accounting standards. Thus, the Treasury Department:
  • prepares and compiles annual departmental budgets in conjunction with Department Heads;
  • develops policies to improve overall operation of data management;
  • calculates and generates annual property taxes;
  • ensures the timely payment of all accounts payable and the issuance of invoices; and
  • compiles all year end financial statements for audit by Brent J. Burns, Chartered Accountant.

Municipalities in Ontario must participate in a Municipal Performance Measurement Program. This is an assessment of how well a municipality delivers its goods and services. It is a tool to determine desired results, measure performance, communicate results to ratepayers and learn from other municipalities. Address Changed?
Due to the high volume of address changes and the numerous variations of request for change of address we have been experiencing over the last few years, the tax office has found it necessary to develop a change of address form and require it to be used when an address change occurs.
