To register for a Township sponsored program, fill in the registration form and mail it in or drop it off at the Municipal Offices in Chantry. Payment and completed registration forms must be received by the deadline indicated for each program. All programs run on a first-come, first-served basis. No post-dated cheques will be accepted and all payments are to be made out to the Township of Rideau Lakes. View the current registration form (PDF file)

Town Crier
The Town Crier, David Boyd, is available to attend Township sponsored events and by private arrangement to participate in commercial and charitable functions. For details see the Town Crier Page
Outdoor Activities
There are many ways to get out, get some excersise and explore our township. The following are a few ideas:

Child Tax Credit Program
Parents may claim tax credits for their children through both the Federal and Provincial Governments' Child Tax Credit Programs for their children’s active participation in the Rideau Lakes Day Camp, Swim Lessons and/or Rideau Rippers Sport Camp programs. D.A.R.S. Park - Delta Location: Recreational Drive in Delta Features: Lighted outdoor ice rink (active ball hockey league in the summer!), canteen, lighted regulation horse shoe pits and open space.
Elgin Outdoor Rink Location: On Halladay Street beside the old Red Brick School House and near South Crosby Public School (location of a variety of activities for children, music & BBQ during Elgin Days) Features: Lighted outdoor ice rink and skaters' change house.
Hanna Memorial Park Location: Water Street in Portland. Features:This passive park offers visitors and local residents a beautiful place to relax and watch the action on the Big Rideau Lake. Sunsets will be awesome and the peace and tranquility second to none! Just down the road the public has access to a beach for public swimming.
Kin Park Location: In the Ward of Bastard & South Burgess on Harlem Road at Portland. Features:Home to North Leeds Soccer, there is both a lighted regulation sized soccer pitch and a mini soccer field as well as a lighted softball diamond, canteen, picnic area, playground, basketball court, pop-can recycling bin and a toboggan hill for winter fun.
Lower Beverley Park (waterfront Park) Location: In the Ward of Bastard & South Burgess in the village of Delta. Features: Municipally owned and operated tent and trailer park with some seasonal cabins available to rent. For more info see: www.beverleylakepark.com or call 613-928-2881.
Lorne Park - Newboro Location: In the Village of Newboro on George St. at John St. Features: lighted softball diamond, canteen, basketball court, playground, soccer pitch, trails, forest area and picnic areas. Home of the Newboro Men's Fastball Team.
Shillington Park - North Crosby Location: - In the Ward of North Crosby on Concession Road 8 just off County Road 10. Features: lighted softball diamond, sport pad (that is also an outdoor ice rink in the winter) community hall with canteen, 2 shuffle boards, 2 lighted tennis courts, playground, trails with geocaching facilities, gardens, forest area, picnic tables, outdoor washroom facilities and pavilion.
Portland Community Park - Portland Location: Beside the Portland Community Hall Features: An older playground, picnic table, near to public beach access and seasonal outdoor washroom facilities on the side of the Community Hall.
Sand Lake Park - Elgin (waterfront park) Location: In the Ward of South Crosby at 345 Delong Road. Features: beach, change rooms, washrooms, playground, trails, forest area, picnic areas, all weather shelter, site of the IPM Log Cabin and is home to the Rideau Lakes Day Camp in July & August.
Van Clief Park - Lombardy Location: Blacksmith Road in the Hamlet of Lombardy, South Elmsley Ward. Features: passive park with playground and picnic tables, basketball hoop and very scenic viewing along Otter Creek.
Adult Social Clubs
An opportunity to meet your neighbors, form some strong friendships, have a communication network amongst your peers, play some cards, enjoy exercise, travel, listen to guest speakers, be entertained, eat, hold fun fund- raising ventures, and above all, enjoy your leisure hours to their fullest.
