To register for a Township sponsored program, fill in the registration form and mail it in or drop it off at the Municipal Offices in Chantry. Payment and completed registration forms must be received by the deadline indicated for each program. All programs run on a first-come, first-served basis. No post-dated cheques will be accepted and all payments are to be made out to the Township of Rideau Lakes. View the current registration form (PDF file)

Volunteers on Committees of Council
There are many volunteers who are appointed as members of Committees of Council. You may recognize some of the names on the list of volunteers.
Photo Contest
The Township is holding a photo contest in order to choose photos for the 2011 Township Calendar. The contest is open to all amateur photographers who own property within the township. For full details see the 2010 Photo Contest Page.
Flag Contest
Council is sponsoring a Township of Rideau Lakes Flag Competition. We have a logo, but we don't have a flag so we're having a contest to see if someone can come up with a design that represents our township. The contest is open to everyone, young and old, artistic or not! Entries must be received by Noon on Friday October 1, 2010. For full details, see the Township of Rideau Lakes Flag Contest.
Town Crier

D.A.R.S. Park - Delta Location: Recreational Drive in Delta Features: Lighted outdoor ice rink (active ball hockey league in the summer!), canteen, lighted regulation horse shoe pits and open space.
Elgin Outdoor Rink Location: On Halladay Street beside the old Red Brick School House and near South Crosby Public School Features: Lighted outdoor ice rink and skaters' change house.
Hannah Memorial Park Location: Water Street in Portland. Features: This passive park is currently under development but will offer
the visitors and local residents a beautiful place to relax and watch the
action on the Big Rideau Lake. Sunsets will be awesome and the peace and
tranquility second to none! Just down the road the public has access to a
beach for public swimming and Township sponsored Red Cross Swim Lessons are
also offered here.
Kin Park Location: In the Ward of Bastard & South Burgess on Harlem Road at Portland. Features: lighted softball diamond, canteen, lighted soccer field, picnic area, play area, basketball court, pop-can recycling bin and home to Kin Car Bingo.
Lower Beverley Park (waterfront Park) Location: In the Ward of Bastard & South Burgess in the village of Delta. Features: cottages, campsites, boat launching & docking, volleyball and basketball courts, softball complex, soccer field, sand beaches, visitor parking, canoe rentals, picnic area. Newboro Memorial Park (Lorne Park) Location: In the Village of Newboro on George St. at John St. Features: lighted softball diamond, canteen, basketball court, playground, soccer pitch, trails, forest area and picnic areas. Home of the Newboro Men's Fastball Team.
North Crosby Park (Shillington Park) Location: - In the Ward of North Crosby on Concession Road 8 just off County Road 10. Features: lighted softball diamond, sport pad (that is also an outdoor ice rink in the winter) community hall with canteen, 2 shuffle boards, 2 lighted tennis courts, playground, trails with geocaching facilities, gardens, forest area, picnic tables and pavilion.
Sand Lake Park (waterfront park) Location: In the Ward of South Crosby on Delong Road. Features: beach, change rooms, washrooms, playground, trails, forest area, picnic areas, site of the IPM Log Cabin and is home to the Rideau Lakes Day Camp in July & August.
Van Clief Park Location: Blacksmith Road in the Hamlet of Lombardy, South Elmsley Ward. Features: passive park with playground and picnic tables, basketball hoop and very scenic viewing along Otter Creek.
Adult Social Clubs
An opportunity to meet your neighbors, form some strong friendships, have a communication network amongst your peers, play some cards, enjoy exercise, travel, listen to guest speakers, be entertained, eat, hold fun fund- raising ventures, and above all, enjoy your leisure hours to their fullest.

The Township of Rideau Lakes has been approved as a pilot project for a
transportation program in partnership with Every Kid in Our Communities of
Leeds Grenville. Anyone who requires transportation - to a doctor's
appointment, to visit friends/family, for an after school drive home or even
to go shopping, Lanark Transportation Association will provide this for you
- BUT - you must call and reserve your ride 72 hours in advance - and there
is a minimal fee for this service. Please call 1-877-445-5777 for more
information and to book your transportation requirements.
