WOODWORKING – AN INTRODUCTORY PROGRAM


WoodworkingIn partnership with Rideau District High School, the Township is pleased to offer once again the introduction to woodworking program held in the woodworking shop at Rideau District High School in Elgin. Use of power tools, machinery and facilities, safety, general design, planning, construction and finishing will be taught by our qualified instructor Doug Miller. Doug is the current shop teacher at Rideau and comes to us with some excellent woodworking projects and ideas. Students should be prepared to purchase their own project materials and supplies. You will graduate from this program with a beautiful finished woodworking project.

Geared for interested older youth and adults, this program is open to individuals 14 years of age and older.

Where: Rideau District High School

When: Tuesdays

Dates: September 28 to November 16 (8 weeks)

Times: 5:30pm to 8:00pm

Cost: $130.00

Minimum number of participants: 8
Maximum number of participants: 12

How to Register: Fill out the registration form found on the recreation page and mail it or drop it off to the Township Offices along with the registration fee before September 24th.

You must pre-register for this program.
