In partnership with Rideau District High School, the Township is pleased to offer an introduction to woodworking program that will be held in the woodworking shop at Rideau District High School in Elgin. Use of power tools, machinery and facilities, safety, general design, planning, construction and finishing will be taught by our qualified instructor Doug Miller. Doug is the current shop teacher at Rideau and comes to us with some excellent woodworking projects and ideas. Students should be prepared to purchase their own project materials and supplies. You will graduate from this program with a beautiful finished woodworking project.
Geared for interested older youth and adults, this program is open to individuals 14 years of age and older.
