Planning a Major Special Event?

Are you planning on holding a public event, festival and/or parade within the Township of Rideau Lakes with 200+ people in attendance? As per By-Law 2007-19 a Festival Licence is required.  A copy of the Festival By-Law can be found on the By-Laws page.  Completed application forms must be received by the Clerk at least 1 month prior to the event.

TOWN CRIER

The Town Crier, David Boyd, is available to attend Township sponsored events and by private arrangement to participate in commercial and charitable functions.

CHAFFEYS LOCK COMMUNITY HALL MARKET SQUARE every Sunday from late May to October.  Local craftspersons and artists.


CLOGGING at the Newboro Community Hall every Wednesday evening at 7pm and at the South Elmsley Municipal Complex (OPP Offices on Hwy 15) Thursday afternoons from 2-4pm.  This is a fun way to exercise and expand your dance talents!  Classes are $2 a class.  Sponsored by the Newboro Recreation Committee.  Cal Dorothy for details 613-272-8053.


COMMUNITY SHOPPING BUS sponsored through the South Crosby Friendship Club leaves for the local shopping mall in Kingston every 2nd Tuesday of the month.  Call Vicki at 613-272-2676 to reserve your seat.  Cost $15.00 return trip.  Not just for seniors!  All ages welcome.


COFFEE DROP-IN: Throughout the Township come and enjoy a bit of social fun!  Bring your latest craft project, a deck of cards or just yourself.  Children are welcome.  Donations appreciated.

Start the evening with a Spaghetti Supper at 4pm at Delta United Church

November 24 - 24th Annual DELTA COUNTRY CHRISTMAS Pageant - 6:30pm featuring the Deltones Community Choir. Join us for this interactive celebration of Christmas! The evening begins at 6:30pm at Delta Baptist Church (24 King St), then a short walk to the Delta United Church (36 King St) to meet the Shepherds, on to St. Paul's (77 King St) for King Herod and the Magi, and finally to the Mill Drive Shed (46 King St) for the Manger Scene. There will be choir anthems and carol singing amidst the Christmas story narrative with children dressed in Biblical costumes representing the key people in the Christmas story.        Poster
