To pass a Resolution that;
WHEREAS correspondence was received from the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) advising that February 9th, 2012 is National Sweater Day and encourage people to turn down their heat and wear a sweater;
AND WHEREAS the WWF has also advised that March 31st, 2012 between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. is Earth Hour and encourage people to turn off their lights;
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Services Committee Recommends that Council encourage all residents of Rideau Lakes to participate in these events to help raise awareness about climate change;
AND FURTHER that same be posted on the website.
