In 2008, on the 10th anniversary of the formation of the Township of Rideau Lakes, residents were invited to submit a quilt block that depicted their personal reflection of what living in the Township of Rideau Lakes meant to them. The result is this 52" by 80" 10th Anniversary Legacy Quilt which depicts fond memories of what Rideau Lakes means to each individual quilter. Amateur and skilled quilters have come together to portray what it means to live and enjoy life in Rideau Lakes over the past years.
The quilt will be on display in the township Council Chamber in 2009 and then go on rotating display in the township's community halls.
