COUNCIL has declared April 19th - 25th PITCH-IN WEEK in Rideau Lakes Township.
'Pitch-In Canada' proclaims one week each Spring as "Pitch In Week" asking volunteers to get involved and help clean up their community. Rideau Lakes is a registered member of 'Pitch-In Canada' and recognizes and thanks all its volunteers for helping to keep Rideau Lakes looking good.
With Spring fast approaching, the litter from the winter becomes very noticeable. To get your free pitch-in (yellow) bags, stop by the office or visit your local library or post office. Call the office to register as a volunteer.
For two weeks, April 19 to May 3, 2010 place your pitch in collection (yellow bags without tags) at curbside with your regular garbage on your regular scheduled collection day. If you can sort it - great, if not it can all go into one yellow bag. (two weeks only!)
Rideau Lakes has many Pitch-In volunteers and we thank you very much for "pitching-in" again this year to make your Township a great place to live. If you are currently a Pitch-In volunteer and are not registered with the Township, please contact the office to register.
Let's get ready and Pitch-In April 19th to April 25th . If this week doesn't work for you, contact the office and get your alternative dates registered.
