The Township has reviewed the public comments received on the initial draft document presented at the Open Houses held in the summer of 2009 and has produced an updated plan for both Newboro and Portland. The Planning Advisory Committee has recommended approval of the revised plan and it is currently undergoing review and consideration by Council.
The Council of Rideau Lakes will be holding a public meeting to receive input on the recommended Newboro Harbour Redevelopment Plan at: 3:30 pm Monday January 18, 2010 at the Newboro Community Hall — 10 Drummond Street. Full colour renderings of the Plan will be available for viewing prior to the meeting starting at 2:30 where Township staff will be in attendance to answer any questions.
