The 2018 Municipal Election
is on the horizon and electors will be casting their votes for the offices of
Mayor, Councillor, and School Board Trustee in October 2018.

by internet or telephone
Internet and telephone
voting will be available throughout the voting period of Monday, October 15th
at 10:00 through to Monday, October 22nd at 8:00 p.m.
Keep an eye out for your
Voter Information Letter which will be mailed to eligible electors in late
September. This letter will provide your options for voting and locations of
Voter Help Centres. It also contains a Personal Identification Number, or PIN,
which will grant you access to the electronic voting system, allowing you to
vote any time, anywhere during the voting period. Any touch-tone telephone or
device with access to the internet will be able to access the voting system.
If you do not have access
to a device during the voting period or if you need help casting your ballots,
the Voter Help Centres (which will be outlined on the Voter Information Letter)
will be available with devices for your use, as well as staff members to help.

Official List of Certified Candidates 2018 Municipal Election
The 2018 Municipal Election being held in the Township of Rideau Lakes will
exclusively utilize the alternative voting method known as "Voting by
Telephone/Internet". By-Law 2017-18
The voting period, being the advance vote and
including voting day, will be for a term of 8 (eight) full days commencing
Monday, October 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. (EST) and will terminate on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. (EST).
The results of the election will be presented in
the Council Chambers at the Township of Rideau Lakes Municipal
Office, 1439 County Road 8, as soon as possible after 8:00 p.m. on October
RIDEAU LAKES COUNCIL:
reorganized the Council and Ward Structure.
The Council of the Township of Rideau Lakes will now consist of 9 members:
1 Mayor - elected by all voters
2 Councillors from each of 4 Wards - elected by the voters of that Ward
Ward 1 - Bastard & South Burgess
Ward 2 - South Elmsley
Ward 3 - South Crosby
Ward 4 - North Crosby-Newboro
