Vantage Points: Start & Finish Line at the Newboro Lock Station – Spectators will be kept up-to-date with
an electronic race board identifying when the first team reaches each check point, and
when the last team leaves that check point. Canteen, souvenirs, race information, and other
winter activities for the young at heart will take place (skating, Frisbee golf, broomball to
name some activities). Public washrooms are located at the Newboro Lock Station. Parking
only for the race competitors will be made available at the Newboro Lock Station.
Crosby Road & Leggett Bridge is another section where the dog sled race can be viewed.
Cheering is definitely encouraged! The dogs will appreciate your enthusiasm!
Public Parking
Parking is NOT available along Lock Road. Spectators are encouraged to park at the Newboro Ball Diamond (look for signs) and be shuttled to the starting gate via wagon rides. Street parking is also available throughout the Village of Newboro. Only race teams and handicapped parking is permitted along Lock Road.
