The Development Services Department is responsible
for the review and processing of all applications
under the Planning Act and the Ontario Building
Code as well as providing current and long term
planning services. The Department is responsible
for ensuring compliance with the Township’s Official
Plan, Zoning By-laws, other Municipal By-laws, and
the Ontario Building Code. The Development Services
Department is comprised of the Manager, Associate
Planner, Chief Building Official, Building Inspector,
Analyst, Septic Inspector, Bylaw Enforcement Officer,
and Administrative Assistant.

The Development Services Department is creating an electronic mail list geared to contractors and related businesses. The mail list will be used to distribute updates and alerts and the new department newsletter.
2012 Building Code & Significant Septic Changes on the Horizon
The 2012 Ontario Building Code was registered Nov 2, 2012. Its formal commencement date is Jan 1 , 2014.
