The Council of the Township of Rideau Lakes consists of a Mayor and nine council members, two each from the wards of North Crosby, South Crosby, Bastard & South Burgess and South Elmsley and one member from the ward of Newboro. (see map)

Council Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in Chantry, located at 1439 County Road 8.
