BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION
REQUIREMMENTS
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF:
A NEW SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING OR
A SEASONAL RESIDENTIAL DWELLING
Required Information:
REVIEW FEE: $500 if construction value between $50,000 - $200,000
$600 if construction value over $200,000
APPLICATION FORM COMPLETED
APPLICATION FOR SEPTIC SYSTEM FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION, COPIES OF SEPTIC APPROVALS FOR ADDITONS/ALTERATIONS.
COPY OF DEED
COPY OF SURVEY, if available
PLOT PLAN OR SITE PLAN APPROVAL
ONE SET OF BUILDING PLANS (DRAWN BY OWNER OR BCIN QUALIFIED DESIGNER) to be submitted in digital format or by hard copy on media no larger than 11 ½” x 17”
HEATING DESIGN AND LAYOUT PRIOR TO INSULATION INSPECTION must be completed by HRAI and BCIN certified designer.
WELL REPORT AND WATER TEST WHEN AVAILABLE
ENGINEERED TRUSS AND FLOOR JOIST DRAWINGS PRIOR TO FRAMING INSPECTION
ALL ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING MUST BE COMPLETED BY A CONTRACTOR WITH A VALID CERTIFICATE OF QUALIFICATION IN ONTARIO (copy of certificate required). ALL ELECTRICAL WORK MUST BE VIA PERMITS AND INPECTION FROM ESA (ELECTRICAL SAFETY AUTHORITY)
ICF INSTALLERS CERTIFICATE REQUIRED.
SOLID WOOD BURNING APPLIANCES REQUIRES LISTING INFORMATION PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
